Every customer gets their own login. They check repair status, view invoices, pay online, and message your team. Included on every plan, including free.

BenchOS customer portal: a customer sees their repair status, device, and invoice in their own login BenchOS customer portal in light mode: repair status, device details, and invoice summary

Status at a glance

Your customer logs in and sees exactly where their repair stands: the device, the current status, what's been done, and what's next. Progress steps map to your workflow, so they update automatically as your techs work the ticket. No one has to remember to send a status text.

  • Each customer sees only their own repairs and devices
  • Status updates are live. They see what your techs see
  • Device details, serial numbers, and repair history in one place
  • Works on any phone, tablet, or desktop browser

BenchOS ticket messages: a threaded conversation between staff and customer, relayed via SMS BenchOS ticket messages in light mode: staff-to-customer thread with SMS relay
Threaded messages between your staff and the customer, relayed to SMS automatically

Two-way messaging, relayed to SMS

Every ticket has a message thread. Staff type a message in BenchOS, the customer gets a text. The customer replies by text, it shows up in the ticket. The portal has the same thread, so customers with a login can read and reply there too. One conversation, three surfaces, zero effort to keep in sync.

  • Staff messages auto-relay to the customer's phone via SMS
  • Customer texts back. It arrives in the ticket thread
  • Portal shows the same thread for logged-in customers
  • Opt-out respected, rate-limited, org-scoped

Walk-in self-serve intake

Put an iPad on the counter and let customers check themselves in. They enter their name, email, device, and what's wrong. For Apple devices, the kiosk walks them through Find My confirmation and backup acknowledgment. The same checks your staff would do, done before the customer reaches the counter. The ticket lands as a Web Lead for staff to confirm.

  • Kiosk mode on a shared iPad, PIN-gated exit
  • Apple carry-in prep: Find My and backup prompts built in
  • Intake authorization signature captured on device
  • Website embed: accept repairs from your own site, 24/7
  • 90-second idle timeout wipes the screen between customers

Check-out and release

When the repair is done, send the ticket to the kiosk for pickup. The customer reviews the work, sees the final charges, and signs to acknowledge receipt. Two signatures, two PDFs: one at intake authorizing the work, one at outtake confirming the device was returned in working order. Both are saved as ticket attachments and can be emailed to the customer on the spot.

  • Staff pushes the ticket to the kiosk. It appears instantly
  • Customer sees final charges, signs on the device
  • Intake + outtake forms with terms you customize
  • Signed PDFs saved as ticket attachments
  • "Email me a copy." One tap, receipt in their inbox
